Delete my MaCaisse account

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This page explains how to request the permanent deletion of your MaCaisse account and the associated data hosted on macaisse.net, and what that deletion erases. You do not need to be logged in to read it.

Read this before you start:

1. Requesting deletion from the app

  1. Open the MaCaisse app on a tablet or phone linked to your account.
  2. Open the account screen: side menu → “Cloud account” (with an administrator point-of-sale account), or, on the point-of-sale login screen, the “My MaCaisse account” button.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap the red “Delete my account” button.
  4. A dialog explains what happens next. Tap “Send the request”.
  5. The screen confirms that the request has been passed on to the technical service.

At this stage, nothing is erased: your shops, your sales and your tablets stay in place and the point of sale keeps working. The MaCaisse technical service then contacts you, at the account's e-mail address or telephone number, to confirm that the request really comes from you, and then carries out the deletion. If you change your mind, simply say so when we contact you: the request is closed with no further action. A request that is already pending is not recorded a second time.

Timeframe: the deletion is carried out within 30 days at most of the request. Once it is done, your e-mail address is no longer tied to any MaCaisse account (your mailbox itself is unaffected).

A reseller account is closed by e-mail (below).

2. Deleting by e-mail (if you no longer have the app)

  1. Write to [email protected], from the account's e-mail address.
  2. Subject: Deletion of my MaCaisse account.
  3. State in the message: the account's e-mail address and the name of the shop or shops concerned.
  4. We may ask you to confirm your identity (for example the number of a subscription invoice) before carrying out the request.
  5. We confirm the deletion to you by return e-mail once it has been done.

Processing time: 30 days maximum from receipt of your request. The deletion obtained by this route is the same as the one requested from the app, and produces exactly the same effects.

What is erased

The deletion erases from our servers:

Once the deletion has been carried out, logging in to macaisse.net is no longer possible and the linked tablets stop synchronizing.

What remains, and why

We prefer to tell you precisely rather than to claim that nothing remains.

Your account record, emptied

If invoices or receipts have been issued in your name, the technical record of your account is not destroyed: it is emptied of all personal data and serves only to carry those accounting documents, described below. In practical terms:

An account that never received an invoice or a receipt (a trial, for example) is erased entirely, record included.

Accounting documents

Data retained Why Retention period
Subscription invoices and receipts (FAC- and REC- documents): number, date, amount, and the snapshot of the billing details as they appeared on the document at the time it was issued — name, company, address, ICE, as well as the e-mail address frozen on the invoice. Accounting and tax obligation: these are supporting documents which the publisher is legally required to keep. They cannot be erased on request. 10 years from the close of the financial year concerned, in accordance with Moroccan accounting and tax legislation.
Subscription payments: amount, date, payment method, and, for an online payment, the transaction reference and the payer information returned by the payment gateway, kept together with the accounting document. Proof of the payment received, accounting reconciliation, handling of a dispute or a refund. Same period as the invoice to which the payment relates.
Technical server logs: connection and error traces, containing the e-mail address used and the originating IP address. Security of the service: detection of intrusion attempts and brute-force attacks, incident diagnosis. Purged periodically during maintenance operations. They make it possible neither to reopen the account nor to reconstruct your sales or your customer records.
Security copies of the database, made every night and accessible only to the server administrator. Being able to restore the service after a failure. Replaced automatically by newer copies: 14 days at most for the daily copies.

These items are neither exploited commercially nor passed on to third parties outside of our legal obligations.

Erasing only part of my data

You are not obliged to delete everything. On written request to [email protected], from the account's e-mail address, we can reset one shop without touching the rest of the account: its sales, its stock and purchases, its customer records, its suppliers, or its tablet registrations — as you choose, item by item.

Specify the shop concerned and what you want erased. This operation is likewise irreversible, and it covers the data attached to the designated shop; older records that are not attached to any shop may remain, and we will tell you if that is the case. Processing time: 30 days maximum.

The data left on your tablet

MaCaisse also works offline: a complete copy of your point of sale (items, sales, customer records, employee accounts) is stored on the tablet itself. Deleting the online account does not erase this local copy.

To erase the data from the device, uninstall the app:

If you resell or give away the tablet, do this before parting with it. Repeat the operation on every tablet used.

A word about your own customers' data

The records of your business's customers belong to you: you are the party responsible for them, MaCaisse merely hosts them on your behalf. By deleting your account, you are requesting their erasure from our servers. The obligations incumbent on you towards those individuals (informing them, responding to their requests, keeping your own accounting documents) remain yours.
